The Yatra season usually begins in late April or early May and continues until October, depending on weather conditions. The best time to visit is from May to June and September to October, avoiding the monsoon season.

Char Dham Yatra can be done by road, with well-maintained routes and government-regulated transport. For senior citizens or those seeking ease, helicopter services are also available from Dehradun.
You can start the journey from Haridwar, Rishikesh, or Dehradun, and take a clockwise route: Yamunotri → Gangotri → Kedarnath → Badrinath.
